Whether she’s loading her camera or shuffling cards, Jetzi is focused on preserving and healing the community around her.
Growing up on the West Side of Chicago provided her a unique vantage point to launch an eclectic career that combines artwork, spirituality and politics.
Her identity as an Afro Latinx woman informs her spiritual and organizational work. Over the years, she’s held dozens of community workshops on topics like photography, tarot, spiritual protection, liberation and mental health. Recently, she has been working to provide resources for organizer safety groups, jail support and the fight to free her Cousin Damien "Toppnotch" Hodges from prison. She founded The Pen Pal Initiative to connect the community to our incarcerated family.
