Whether she’s loading her camera or sowing seeds, Jetzi is focused on preserving and healing her community. Growing up in Chicago provided her a unique vantage point to launch an eclectic career combining artwork, spirituality and politics.
She’s been shooting film for over fifteen years, capturing hundreds of musicians like Chromeo, Chance the Rapper, M.I.A, Cardi B & more. She studied Photography & Political Science at Parsons School Of Design & DePaul University. She has extensive production and project managing experience, working alongside New York DJ Venus X and her club night GHE20G0TH1K, fashion label Hood By Air and other talented creators like Elise Swopes.
Being an Afro-Latinx woman informs her spiritual and organizational work. She’s held dozens of workshops on photography, spiritual protection, liberation and mental health. These days, Jetzi has dedicated herself full time into the world of Web3. She’s the Project Manager for Sunrise Art Club, a creative impact agency that partners with Sunrise Holders to produce innovative and impactful projects that improve the lives of underrepresented people. Her most recent project launched on Juneteenth of this year, the first NFT gallery featuring incarcerated artists, Night on the Yard: Confined by Stars.
Using home-grown flowers and herbs, she also creates anointing oils, fixed candles, and thoughtfully-packaged kits available in her shop. Contact her for photoshoots, small event bookings, wholesale orders, panels and workshops.
