Agua y Fuego Zine
Zine by Jetzi and Tanya Calvin
"Agua y Fuego" is a zine about the lives of two Black Mexican American siblings who have found homes in the United States and in Mexico. It's around bleeding. It's about the anger that rises up because of the trauma and embodied suffering that they live with. It's about a journey through intergenerational trauma and memory on the way to these homes. The words and photos represent parts of our identity and the conflicts we live with.
Written in memory of the lives lost in el Masacre de Tiatelolco of 1968 and the lives lost to the Spanish colonial empire.
Both physical & digital copies available.
